About us

Dr. Norah Njuba Bwaya incorporated Coach Africa Limited in January 2006 in Uganda to support people & organizational development and systems strengthening in both service and production sectors across Africa.

With a P.h.D in executive coaching and having facilitated people & leadership development, performance coaching & mentoring for exceptional individual and corporate performance, and organizational development for over 20 years across multiple continents, Norah founded Coach Africa to re-write Africa’s narrative about performance.

We are a coalition of experts and senior consultants with over 25 years of experience each in consultancy, people & organizational development, and leadership.

Our Founder

Norah is a Certified Executive Coach, Organization development and change consultant, Facilitator/trainer, and public speaker with working experience across 4 careers (accounting, marketing, insurance, and coaching).

She has provided coaching services to top executives in over 100 organizations and is the Founder of the first coaching firm in Eastern Africa, Coach Africa Limited.

Norah is extremely passionate about African Excellence and is the founder of the Institute of Work Culture and Ethics. She has served her nation and continent passionately by being a driving force for change in the workplace.

Norah has a track record of performance in various industries including: petroleum, health, banking, hospitality, insurance, beverages, and the development sector. This diversity of experience makes her uniquely placed to support top-tier leaders.

She holds a Bachelors Degree in Commerce (Accounting) Hons. from Makerere University, is an Accredited Professional Certified Coach (PCC) with the International Coaching Federation, and a Doctorate in Executive Performance from Middlesex University, UK.

Organizational Development

Goal: To strengthen public, private, and development sector organizations to sustainably deliver excellent results.

Focus Areas: Strategy development, systems, policies, and procedures to support strategy execution, resource mobilization, and leadership and management.

Process: Diagnostic study and gap analysis, Establishing indicators and milestones, Co-designing interventions and solutions, Implementation, M&E, and learning.

Duration: 6 – 24 months

Leadership Development

Goal: To equip board level, C-Suite, and top management leaders with critical competences and inspire them to pursue excellence.

Duration: 6 – 24 months

Performance Enhancement

Goal: To build high-performing teams driven by middle management.

Focus Areas: Team-building, creativity, innovation, and problem-solving, strategy implementation, succession planning, strategic retirement.

Process: Situation analysis and gap identification (in relation to strategy), establishing indicators and milestones, co-designing of blended learning program, implementation, M&E, and learning.

Performance Indicators: Selected strategic indicators, Level of strategy execution, and Organizational efficiency targets.

Duration: 3 – 12 months

Reposition & Thrive

Goal: To reposition the organization and maintain relevance amidst turbulent (VUCA) market conditions.

Focus Areas: Stakeholder needs and expectations, leaders mindset and skills, organizational culture, capacity to sustainably meet critical needs and expectations.

Process: Reality check, define the stakes and critical indicators, assess capacity, co-design work culture and interventions, culture change, implementation, M&E, and learning.

Performance Indicators: Performance against agreed targets and Change in culture.

Duration: 3 – 9 months

Strategic Retirement

Goal: To prepare individuals to transition from a career into retirement.

Customer Relationship Management

Goal: To design training programs and guides that deliver Afro-centric, hands-on customer relationship management.

Coach Africa has delivered a coaching program to our managers at Centenary Bank over the years.
Coach Africa has a dedicated team of professional facilitators that have been able to offer quality in delivering a coaching program enriched with practical coaching experiences.
